Editing thread title

I've unwittingly caused a lot of offence with a thread title and wish to edit it to remove an offensive word. How do I go about this? I know there was a thread on this a while back when the V thread was deemed "unsuitable for work" but I can't find it. Any pointers to that thread would be appreciated.

Not sure of the thread, but I think you go to "edit" of your initial post, and choose the advanced option, and you can change it there.
