Resizing pictures

I am trying to resize some photos using MS Office Picture Manager but I'm not having much luck getting them the right size. Can someone please assist me with what I need to do to make them fit correctly? I've been playing with it alot (because I suck and play on the internet instead of work) but I'm not having much success.

Please write a response like you were talking to a 2 year old because otherwise my dumb azz may not get it!

Ok, double click on the picture you want to edit, go to "Picture" in the toolbar, then "Resize" - The risize menu will come up on the right side of the screen(I suspect you probably already got to this point)

Now, you didn't say what size you wanted to resize them to... But if you just need it to a ballpark, click on the 2nd radio button "predefined width and height" This will not stretch your picture to those exact dimentions, it will resize it to the largest size of your picture that would fit inside a rectangle of that size. Don't think about it too hard, it would make more sense if they drew a picture, but they didn't.

If all you need to do is take a big picture from a digital camera, and make it a decent size to post on bhuz, chose "Web - Large" in the drop down box, and then it will resize it to a good size automatically.

At the bottom of the sidebar, there will be two bits of information:
Original size: blah x blah pixels
New Size: blah x blah pixels
Every time you change something on that toolbar, it will show you the new size you're resizing to.

If that's too complicated, just pick the last radio button "Percentage of Original Width x Height" and ratched the % down until the "New Size" says the size you want.

I hope this helped!

Your profile pic? You probably ought to crop it first, then resize it.

It'd be wonderful if the pics on bhuz were able to be enlarged....maybe a feature to consider for the site designer? Part of the fun for me is to stare and drool over everyone's costumes, and I absolutely cannot see them with the pics this small!
