Notifications not working???

Hi Rosey,

I've noticed that even though I'm subscribed for 'instant email notification' I haven't received an email notifying me of new posts. Is there a problem with this at the moment?

There is no problem that I am aware of. Check the email address in your profile and make sure that it is correct with no typos. Check your spam folder in case the emails are ending up there, and also make sure that your email system is set to accept emails from any address @ bhuz.com

Bhuz is definitely on my approved sender list and the notifications were not in my junk mail box either.

I never get them either. I did for awhile, but it stopped. I haven't changed anything in my email address, etc.

I was beginning to think it was just me!

The function is working. When a subscribers mailbox is full, the email notifications get bounced back to me. I go in to the system and shut off your email notifications cause it clogs my mailbox and you aren't getting them anyway.

All of you are showing that you do not have email notifications turned on.

If you are not getting email notifications you need to go in to your My Settings page and restart your subscriptions.

ALso, when you put up a post, before you click "save" you can click "go advanced" and scroll down the page to additional options and choose a thread subscription type for the thread.

But, in all your cases, the reason the subscriptions got turned off is because your mailbox was full.

When I have subscribed to threads, I go to the drop-down menu and select "instant email notification". I get them for a little while, and then no more. Or sometimes I don't get them at all. I do not see anything new in my Bhuz mailbox when that happens. It seems that if I get them for awhile, but then they stop, and I haven't changed my settings, something must be going awry...

This is what happens to me.

Edited to add - I have been to the options area in my profile and selected the subscription option again. I don't understand why this was turned off - I didn't change it, but I'm assuming that this will put things right?

Yup, it should work now. But you need to watch out that your mailbox doesn't get full and refusing more emails.

I'm experiencing a problem with this too. I only joined a few days ago. At first, I was getting instant email notifications. It lasted about a day, and then they stopped. Now I cant get an email notification for anything, even when I subscribe to the thread.

And I know I'm not over inbox quota, since I'm using gmail and I still have 95% of mh space available.

This has been happening to me for a long time. Everything seems to be ok in my settings. I recieve emails when I have messages but no subscritpions.

Been happening to me too for months and my gmail inbox is NOWHERE near full.
