Photos in Group Threads

Rosey,

When I insert a photo into a post in the groups, the image shows up until I click "edit" it mysteriously disappears then.

Did you mention this somewhere else already?

I've just tried it, and it worked. You can see the pictures in the "this is a test group" group in the second thread.

Use the little icon that looks like a tree. I pasted the url into the pop up box that appeared. didn't need to fill out anything else in that box.

give it a try and let me know.

could it have been a size issue, Rosey? I did just what you say to do...

I'm sorry Rosey but when you say "Use the little icon that looks like a tree." What icon are you talking about? I do see a square box with a mountian which says "insert image" when you roll the crusor over it. However when I tried to paste the urls of a photo in the gallery in it I had a simliar problem as Danni and the picture never appeared.

Are you in the Groups pages? The icon in the big Forum is a mountain, but in Groups it is a tree.

Size shouldn't matter; if you were able to upload it to the Gallery, it is the right size for anywhere else on the site.

Check how the url appears when you paste it in the box, make sure that http:// isnt appearing twice.

it just happened to me again. The photo shows up in the edit mode but when I "edit post" it disappears in the posted reply or edit.
very very very weird.

Remind me why you are needing to click on "edit post". When I put a photo in a group I don't click on anything like that.

I click on post reply>click on the tree>paste url in pop up box>click "insert">
click "post reply" and voila! I just put a nice picture of Autumn the cat, courtesy of member acmcgraw in the second post of "why I love cats' in the Cats group.

Aargh, keep trying, I know it works. Let me know exactly what you are clicking on, in what order.
