well, I look it the same as having to download updates to iTunes all the time or to Quicktime and the like - browsers upgrade and progress quickly so....I wish we didn't have to upgrade and change so much but I fear it's a fact of life for all us computer types.

I tried to do it a couple of weeks ago and I don't know what I did wrong, but I obviously didn't do it right because nothing seemed to happen. I can't find the new browser. It's just annoying.

i am not a bells and whistles person and get really annoyed when utility is sacrificed for them. i also hate clutter on a computer screen. i almost never go to myspace because every page looks like a junior high yearbook threw up on it.

i understand the original platform was dying, but i wish we could have streamlined this one.

I have installed an add-on to Firefox called Adblock Plus. It blocks basically all ads on all web pages. On top of that, any Flash, or Javascript or whatever elements on pages will get this little translucent tab next to them that says "Adblock" and you can just click on the tab and turn them off. From then on, whenever you go to that page, that element will be blocked. (It does allow you to turn them back on at a later date if you need to)

I've removed all of the stupid embedded video and stuff from my friends' myspace pages, they still look goofy, but now I can see if they have gigs coming up and stuff without having all that crap slow my computer down to a crawl.

Each page takes several minutes to load and its really frustrating. I think there's too many graphics on the page, do we really need falling snow? At least Bhuz hasn't been banned by the censors here - yet.

I really, really want the cursor sensitive falling snow to go away because it keeps me from being able to access Bhuz on machines where I can't control what browser is being used. It's simply not needed and removing it would streamline browsing time for many users.

Firefox doesn't prevent text from being lost when a large picture is posted, causing the text to run and hide under all the ads at the right hand side of the screen, but this has nothing to do with my sadness over the banner.

hmmm. i was having problems with safari on my mac as well. it's 3.. 4? years old. i ditched it and switched to firefox. no problems at all on any website. it has the same tab features etc. that made safari so great.

i just switched to Firefox and all on its own little self it blocked the falling snow graphic. Good browser, good browser! bhuz is now 5 times faster.
