Weird photo things happening on my profile

Hi Rosey

Something's gone very odd with my profile pics. Several have just disappeared for no reason (including one which had some lovely comments from people boo hoo) but also when you click on either of the two that are left and then click on go to next picture you get someone else's pictures completely. Then you seem to be lost in someone else's profile and can't get out.

Ooer, I feel like I'm some weird bellydance maze when I go into my profile now...

Hmmm... I had strange things happen too, with my background photo. It kept uploading the one that I already erased. When I shut it down and turned it on the next day, it was gone.

Yeah, weird stuff has been happening to mine too. I have to logout of my account in order for the full welcome page to come on. And as for my profile picture, it won't come up at all. As I said in a previous post, it's because Bhuz is undergoing some construction.

To get the background photos to upload you need to refresh the page, otherwise it will keep showing an old background or nothing at all.

Hmm.. if I go to my gallery I only see 11 pics, and when I check 'my items' I see all 18 of them

Also, if I browse through my own gallery using the 'next' button (so I can see if there are comments posted) I suddenly get swap meet pictures from somebody else?

Did something chance in the Gallery code? Looks a bit buggy now..

That's similar to what's happening to me, except I can't access any of my pics apart from the ones that are showing on the main profile page and several of my pics have disappeared. But the weirdest thing is that business of going into someone else's photos when I click on the next botton. Any ideas Rosie?

Yep Ive been uploading pictures and then when i check my gallery not all of the pictures are there. So i uploaded them again and still not there then when I check edit my photos they are there but still not in the gallery............

habibiyaeini, if you scroll through your pics do you come to lots of costume pics which don't look to me like they are from your profile?

Rosey, you know we PMd each other about this and you said it didn't happen when you went into my profile pictures and it must just be me? Well I've checked other people's pictures and the same thing happens when I go into their profiles too...

Nah dont have any pics that arnt mine. Just dont see all the pics that I uploaded....

How weird. I seem to have the ability to wander through a door into another world of absolutely everyone's images. Must be a browser thing I suppose?? (trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about...)

same thing here, if I browse someones gallery with the 'next' and 'previous' links I am able to hop to different galleries.

It seems like a problem with the links and the image numbers: each picture is named in the order that they are uploaded, no matter who uploads them.

So if you upload 5 pics in a row you would see those 5 pics when browsing in your gallery by clicking 'next', because they are named pic001, 002, 003, 004 and 005 for example.

But if you upload 4 pics to your gallery, and then someone else loads one, and after that you upload a fifth one again, browsing through your own gallery will show pic001, pic002, pic003, pic004, then the other persons image called pic005, and then your own 5ft pic again, named pic006.

Or so it seems. (former software tester here)

I'm having the same prob. I recieved a message that I had a comment but when I came to check it out a good portion of them were gone . I tried deleting some of the older ones that were showing to see if the others would come up, incase I was using too much space, but . They are in my Manage Pics can't find them in the gallery !

Sunshine, I can wander from gallery to gallery as well . I have found that if I click on the gallery button at the top of the profile page I stay in one gallery, if I click on the photo I am wandering thru' that cyber-door thru' various galleries with you! It's kinda fun actually "Not all those who wander are lost..." Sorry, I couldn't resist the urge to go all Tolkien on you guys (makes me appear all literary and well-read )

Ok so it isn't just me! I just uploaded some new pics, and although they are there in my submitted items, they won't show up on my profile page. So right now its says I have no pictures.

I had some costume pics before and I clicked on it and then clicked next, and like everyone else it went to someone elses pictures who I don't even know.

So I just got rid of those pics altogether to see if my new ones would show up and they don't. So other than my main profile pic, I can't see any others unless I go into Manage pictures and I have 5.

How do I get them to show up!!!???

Can you see if you can work out what it is? I know you said to me that you couldn't what was wrong, but it's clear that I'm not the only one it's happening to.

And it makes me miserable that people can't see my pics in my gallery but they can see all sorts of other pics that aren't of me at all

I will work on this, but it's hard to do cause I can't see the same problem you are having.
What browser are you using?
Please post back here and tell me which browser you are using. That may help me figure it out.

BHUZ is best viewed with Firefox.

I'm using Firefox on a Mac. It's exactly the same if I use Safari

Oh, I've just realised that, like Song of Incense, if I go to my gallery via the 'Gallery' button everything is fine. But if I click on the actual pictures on my profile page, I go wandering off into the hall of mirrors...

I've also just gone onto your profile Rosie, and when I click on your photos (below your videos) and click 'next picture' I get two of you then one of Jen's veils and then Bea with Bondok!

Edited to say, I can do it with everyone's profile.

Whoever I go into, if I click on a picture in their gallery (from the main profile page, not from the gallery button at the top) and then click on next picture, off I go into the wider world of Bhuz pictures. Presumably everyone can do this...
