I agree, I prefer etsy to ebay since it supports artists.

Thank you so much for posting, Beth..I really appreciate the feedback since etsy is still pretty new to me but I've been delighted to see so many former ebayers join and shop thru etsy.

I think ebay is just too big now and it's a very 'flea market' kind of place..a good place to still sell oops or defective items but over time it has become too watered down with imported items..and it's tough to find the hand made or special items.

Etsy's search engine definitely needs improvement too..there are pages and pages of items to be found under searching but the entire environment on etsy caters to artists and those who make the items by hand

I believe as the world's supply gets more watered down with imported same ole, the artists will survive because people still enjoy that special hand made item

I buy so much fun stuff on Etsy, I should just set aside part of my paycheck directly for Etsy shopping each month!
