Just curious if anyone has ever purchased a costume from their site? I was wondering what the quality is like and how long it took to receive it.

This topic has come up a lot. We have had bhuzzers here who have purchased items from Safticraft and some who have even met Mohamed Safti-anyone care to share?

I've met Safti. I had communicated with him via e-mail, and he set up a meeting with a supplier for me and Andrea when I went with her on her buying trip to Egypt.

He's a lovely man, a true gentleman. He even called us after the supplier made the delivery to our hotel to make sure we were able to get everything boxed and shipped properly. Some of the other folk we did biz with were pretty quick to dump responsibility for us after our purchases, including one designer who drove us to his house, sold Andrea about 10 or 12 costumes and then dumped us into the dustry street to catch a cab back to the hotel with them! Grrr...

So although I've never ordered from Safti's site, I would in a heartbeat. He's also a man of excellent taste, which is important in a costume exporter, I think.

I know there was a discussion about this somewhat recently but I can't find the thread. I think it might have been before the Bhuz upgrade a few months ago. But I'm pretty sure it was Rania who had ordered from him and had good things to say.

I just placed an order with him on Feb. 25th and I recieved my stuff TODAY, Feb. 28, THREE DAYS LATER. Granted, my order was pretty small - one pair of silver isis wings and an anklet for a friend. The quality on those two items is fair. Not excellent, but for the price I paid definitely above that I was expecting. The isis wings are fraying a bit at the edges and the anklet had one rough wire poking off which we had to take care of, but those were really the only problems.

Overall, very fast, very good quality, very good prices. Particularly if you're looking for something for practice, SaftiCraft is definitely the way to go.

I knew I had posted in this thread before but I couldn't find it when I was looking a few weeks ago. I ordered a custom-made from him in early January and it arrived less then 4 weeks later (and it's gorgeous and I love it!). He's a complete sweetheart but not only that the service and communication was phenomenal. I felt like he really cared about making me happy. I'll definitely order again.

I recently placed a small order as well, just a hip scarf, hat and a VCD--the VCD turned into two VCDs, neither of which was what I ordered, but VCDs are always a crapshoot anyway. Otherwise, I was very happy with my order, the shipping was much quicker than I expected and Safti threw in a cd-r of *tons* of Egyptian pop, which makes me super happy. I wouldn't hesitate to order again!
