Rhabtour, thanks for posting your pics. Now I know that a Sahar can work for those of us who are members of the itty bitty titty committee.

I want one!!!

I contacted Sahar and asked about ordering a costume, she said it was 1070, including shipping. I don't know how much shipping is from Egypt but I gather it's around 30-50.00. Does anyone know?

Check the gallery because it's too big to embed here.

Jasani,

If I had the money, I would totally do it. Before you do that though, I would check with the Bellydance Store and see if it would be less to order through them. Shahrzad might have this one on order in your size or something. It's worth a shot!!!

Ooh, can we start a new tribe?

I kid you not, I remember my mom having a T-shirt in the 70's that had a glittery "Itty Bitty Titty Committee" iron-on on it.

Even though I was very young, I knew then that I was doomed...

Ordered it through Shahrzad. Thanks for the suggestion Ejaghana. Hopefully it will be here within two weeks.

I have to admit that I bought a second one. One was returned to Shahrzad and it just so happened that I visited her for something else and tried it on. I did not have to do anything to it, other than sew the halter straps together for security and add a little elastic to the arm pieces so they would not fall down.

I was not going to buy it because with my daughter starting college and my mom's expenses, I don't have the extra money, but my husband, enabler that he is, convinced me to get it. I have to admit, I love it. It feels so comfortable to wear.

This is not the best picture, but here goes anyway! And this was not a $1300 one either! I am still working on the adjustments on the burgundy - the elastic it has is super thick and stiff and gives a serious muffin top. I removed some of it and it is better, but I am debating whether to just replace it with a softer elastic or like the blue one, just put the elastic in the back...decisions...decisions...

Your HUSBAND is the enabler?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You sure married the right guy!!!! My sweetie has this really weird, awful look on his face when UPS or the postal person shows up with a box -- and then he is either oddly quiet or has a gin and tonic....extra lime ....and extra gin .....he NEVER asks anymore what's in the box.......(too many years together; he knows what's in there....)

Thank you Rebecca! I was not crazy at first about all the hanging beads on the bra, until I put it on and danced around in it and saw how they moved with each sway and shimmy!

I am definitely hooked on Sahar. I finally got my burgundy one done - I pulled out all the elastic and just put a little in the back. It withstood a 5 minute super-shimmy test without budging so I will try to post pictures soon.

And yes, NaiyaHayal, my husband is an enabler! I try to sell costumes on a regular basis so I can justify buying more, but if I never sold one, he would never make a fuss. His attitude is that if it makes me happy, I can have as many as I want!!

I know that some people posted questions to me on this thread. I have been on vacation for two weeks. I returned three weeks ago and I think this is the first time I have been on bhuz for about five weeks. I've been a little under the weather and super busy at work.

Ahava: regarding your question about getting in touch with Sahar, go to "Fitness, Beauty and Costuming" and search for the thread I started about two or three months ago that has all of Sahar's contact information, including her phone number and e-mail. E-mail is best. She and her husband respond right away and you can order a costume through e-mail. E-mail me separately with your specific questions as I don't know how often I'll be on bhuz in the coming weeks.

Lily: you look totally gorgeous in your black Sahar with the big star on the hip. I love that costume and it looks great on you. Unfortunately, my boobs are probably too big to wear that style of bra. I do have a black mini skirt costume that Sahar made me at the beginning of the year. She put about 16 small and medium sized stars on the bra, and two big stars on the hip of the skirt and two medium stars scattered on the skirt. Plus she made it with two arms bands and a head band.

Next week, I am getting three Sahars in the mail: the purple one with the ribbons and the black and white striped one and a red flower one I ordered a while ago. I'll post those pics next week for sure. I probably won't post me wearing them, but I'll photograph when they arrive and post them.

Hi Shems, wow, you look great in that costume! And how does your hair grow so fast? It seems like you had it super short not that long ago. I have been growing mine out all year and its just getting to my shoulders....

Costumes cost $50.00 to ship from Egypt using EMS: Express Mail Service. Both Sahar, Amira El Kattan and Hallah Moustafa have all quoted me $50.00 for shipping so I know its accurate. Eman quotes higher because she uses FEDEX which is more expensive than EMS.

You ladies ALL look fantastic in your Sahars.
A couple weeks ago Damiena wore her burgundy one at the benefit she and Al hosted...it's one of those halter styles that stirred up a fuss at their simplicity....let me just say - it was SO flattering and VERY well constructed. It has the illusion of being a simple stretch halter with the same Sahar bra support/construction underneath. When it fits right (and Damiena's fit perfectly) it's fantastic.
