My First Sahar Okasha - sooo sexy
since the links don't work any more I'm editing this to put the photos in. But all the original links were from http://bellydancestore.biz
I haven't gotton my photo taken in it yet, but here's the photo from the vendor. It's hot!
also the Belly Dance Store has several gorgeous Sahars that are to die for. If I had unlimited money I would have come home with at least 3 more.
these 3:
oh my, is that 4? (actually I could'nt remember which 4 I picked and it turned into 5) And I couldn't even find the photo of one I tried on...Oh the manequins soooo don't do them justice. That last one actually looked even more hot on my friend Ariel, a jaw dropper for sure. I'm a Sahar lover....gorgeous.
ooh la la!

Shems - that is so hot!!! I got one too! Oh my, it is just divine on. I tried on the brown and blue one and liked it, but not as much as I liked this one!!! I did not think I would like the bra style, but it is so flattering on me!!!!
I would say they are works of art! And the bras? Feats of breast engineering at its best!!!!
The link stopped working - I think she must have pulled it off her site since it sold, but this is my new baby - this is not me in it though!!

another sahar lover here. i got one that is to DIE for. i also tried on a few of the bras that were relative feats of engineering... the invisible strap. i think it's the one that she is calling simply sahar and giselle. the one i got isn't on the site. when i get a chance to take a pic i'll post it.

Wow! I don't think I could have ever picked one. They're all too gorgeous! Please upload photos in your new Sahars when you have them - we all want to see them in action!
Simply beautiful.

Ok, so the next question is; How is Sahar about custom orders? How long does she take and does the size come back accurate?

I have no idea - these costumes were all in stock with a local vendor. I think ChristinaRizkallah (I hope I got that right) purchases custom made costumes from Sahar - she would be the best one to ask!!!

Dying to know which one you got! At least tell us what color!!!!
I got this the pink one with the halter style top -- how do I get a picture from "my documents" on my lap top straight to a post??" I'll put it in my gallery. See if that works. I'm excited too, they are gorgeous.

Please post a picture! I am particularly interested to see how these work on A/B size breasts. I'm an A, so I never thought this kind of bra could be for me?

Yes, I am curious too. Every time I see these Sahars, I'm like "beautiful, but only for the well endowed". Someone please prove me wrong!!!

Actually, mine was only $750...I can't believe I'm saying that, only $750, it's still expensive, but soooo nice. I had an excuse, I needed something to wear this week!

Okay,
I'm tiny up top, A cup, really skirting AA, and I will admit, it has taken some doing, but I have mine fitting me really well.
What I had to do:
I bought one that is a smaller cup size to begin with, then I've added padding, I moved the straps in ever so slightly and changed the angle of them ever so slightly, and I've sewn in part of a wire coat hanger so I can bend it towards me and it wont gap out. I still need to line it, but it is fitting me quite nicely, has wonderful give when I dance about and gives me just a little umph, not a ton, but I don't have much to push around anyhow. I'll post photos when I have some taken.
You may also want to consider some of the more triangle top styles, which I think are even more forgiving of smaller breasts. Like this one:
Also of the ones I tried on, this one seemed like it might be one of the more reasonable to pad and make fit, but I had fallen in love with the blue one I bought and as tempted as I was, I couldn't afford a second one:

sahar's bras are great for most cup sizes. i'm not an A but i'm not a full full C and these babies make mine look like Ds- in a good way.

OK, I give up -- I tried to send the picture to my laptop, then to Photobucket, then to my gallery, then here -- keep getting amessage that it's too big or too tall or something. Maybe the link will work -- I'm an idiot with picture-posting........(good with buying, tho...haha)

Oh -- it worked!!!! Anyway, I wear a B, this is an A/B. So we'll see. My black Sahar finally arrived & the bra fits beautifully. Perfect. But it's the more traditional style, not her cups that are one under each arm pit........

I gotta say, the pictures of your costume do NOT do it justice, Shems - my jaw was on the floor when I saw it!

I have a love/hate relationship with Sahars. Sometimes, the lines she uses are heartstoppingly beautiful, and I love the movement of her skirts. Those bras (especially the new ones!) scare me, in that I'm afraid they'll become a trend that will lower the perception of 'belly dancers' further into the gutter.
But Shems, I'll never forget the beautiful post you wrote about a year ago about reconciling your personal beliefs with dance and costuming. I totally trust that you're not going sleazoid on us!

I've gotta say, it is doubtless the most sexy costume I've ever owned, but for some reason when I have it on I feel classy and not trampy, just something about the way it's cut. Hopefully it will come accross that way on stage as well. I guess I'll find out. I had a whole roomful of dancers insist that this costume was right for me and I think they are right.
(oh and Lucy, you should see it on. It's stunning on.)
