Raqia Hassan Volume 9

Hi,

Does anyone have this DVD that they could review? It is a lot of money to put out without knowing how it is.

Thanks to all!

Lisa

After seeing volume 8, I probably wouldn't buy 9. Sound was terrible, etc etc.

I've got it, but I'm going to be away all weekend, so I won't have the time to dig it out & review it properly.

Supershort version: The technique training is pretty much similar to all the others in the series. If you're new to Raqia's technique it's helpful to recap what her style is like. The performances are by various of Raqia's protegées & students, including Katia, Soraya, Astrid Farah de Michele, Dooa (new to me), and Beige (also new to me)

I reviewed this (not in much more detail though!) on my blog

The Raqia Technique #9 dvd quality/ sound is much better then #8 was. Same kind of learning/ performance format structure, Raqia always uses for her technique videos. I was really pleased with volume 9. If you like the Brazillian Dancer Soraya, she was a featured teacher/ dancer on this DVD.

Thanks Beatrice, I will check it out on your blog. I have most of her others so her style is not new to me.

I am glad to hear the sound quality is better than #8, what "bintbeled" said is true, it was awful on that one. I thought at first there was something wrong with my copy!

Did you fell the other performers were good too...or just Soraya?

thanks,

Lisa
