Hi, I've got it, and I think it's one of the better bellydance/fitness videos. They don't break down or teach any of the moves, so it's not for a brand new beginner or someone who wants a video that will teach them to belly dance. However, if you've had some basic training, you should be able to follow along fine. I actually count it as a plus that they don't stop to teach, because for me, that always interrupts the workout, and once you've learned the concept of a hip circle or a hip drop, who wants do go through a long explanation every time you just want to dance or work out?

It's broken down into about 6 or 7 chapters. If you do the workout beginning to end, it's about an hour, but if you're short for time, you can pick and choose your chapters.

Oh yeah, and one thing I should mention is that the music and tone of the video can be a little New Agey. It doesn't bother me, but if you are someone who would be too annoyed to dance to lyrics like, "I am a priestess. My body is my temple. Enter and be loved in 1001 ways," then this might not be the video for you. Of course, you could always turn down the sound and put your own music on. :)

I wrote a fairly lengthy review of this disc for DVD Verdict. Here's the link:

I still use this DVD from time to time--at least, the bits that aren't too advanced for me.

I agree with Zamira that this is one of the better "belly dance for exercise" videos, but it's also correct that some people might not care for the New Age music.

I'd recommend it for an intermediate or advanced level of belly dance skill. It uses some layering to get the cardio effect.

The type of workout is medium cardio. Someone who regularly does high-energy cardio probably wouldn't break a sweat, but someone who isn't accustomed to cardio exercise would be challenged.

I like the content, it's intermediate/advanced level and the quick pace makes it easy to use if you'r in for a 'no thinking, just dancing' mood. I didn't care much for the bejeweled jeans outfits or the new age lyrics, but that's my personal taste. There are three dancers in each section (dancers rotate and chance in each different section) which makes it easier to see the moves when you're dancing in front of your tv. They obviously put a lot of effort in the dvd, recording quality is excellent, music is composed and made by Jehan (one of the dancers) and they have several outfits in different styles/colors.

one caveat, the saidi section is high impact, you might not want to do it if you have problems with your joints

I like this dvd! It's fun, easy to follow and it's exactly that - a workout!! As for the level, I would say anybody with a bit of knowledge of belly dance to a pro this dvd is appropiate. It doesn't teach belly dance, it just puts moves together to create fun workout routines !
