Leyla Lanty's CD "Golden Days, Enchanting Nights"

Hi All,
Transporting my announcement from "Old Bhuz" to the New Bhuz, with some updates:

Some of you may remember and may even possess my first (and only) CD which was issued back in 1999 as "Ma Btisaloosh Leh? Khalil Abboud in Cairo". That first batch sold out and received very high praise, including a nomination for the 2000 IAMED Best Music award. I've finally been able to reissue this gorgeous dance music with a new title "Golden Days, Enchanting Nights", a beautiful new cover, and a new insert which includes one or two line summary translations of each song.

Two-minute sound clips are on
http://cdbaby.com/cd/kall and where it can be purchased.

It's available on ITunes too - be careful of the long URL.
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...stId=203976153

It's also available on many download sites around the world. Just google the full title in quotes to find them or write to me and I'll send you a list.

"Golden Days, Enchanting Nights" includes a fully-orchestrated 12-minute raqs sharqi piece by one of the biggest composers in Egypt, Hassan Abou El Seoud (have you heard "Hassan" or "Shek Shak Shok"?), along with 2 new songs written for the singer Khalil Abboud, a fabulous mawal which can be used for veil or taqsim, and fresh arrangements of 2 dance favorites, "Ya Tayyib el Galb" and "Sanateen w'Ana Hayyil".

As Kina said "So, there are no synthesizers in this, no back beats,
no funky lyrics. Just real music expertly sung and played. Interesting tempo changes. The singers voice is that melting deep Arabic tone that you hear when you go to see a band, usually at a Lebanese venue. "

Thanks, Kina! and BTW, Khalil is Lebanese, but recorded Egyptian songs in Egypt.

I have this album and it's excellent - all usable stuff for Egyptian-style dance.
