Raqia Hassan VIIII DVD tech issues

Hi and Happy New Year!!!

I just received Raqia Hassan's latest technique DVD and my DVD can't play it!!!

I was able to play it on my computer at work and when I got it home, it wouldn't play on my home computer

Has anyone had these issues with the DVD? Do I need to get another DVD player??

I wish I could watch it all day at work but my boss would wonder what I'm doing

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated

Added: It's Raqia Hassan's 9th DVD and I have the wrong Roman numerials for the thread!

I have it and it plays well on my computer and my DVD player. No technical problem for me.

I have it and it does not play in either of my DVD players but will play in my computer.

PS: Maybe you got a DVD with the wrong regional code . Sometimes this happens. It happened to me once with Keti Sharif video. I would see if they would exchange it, before it is too late.

I emailed Hala Dance about mine and she said they use the +R DVD technology and it won't play on most older DVD players. If it will play on your computer and not on your player then there is no point in replacing it. But you might want to get a newer DVD player. I have a newer DVD player and it still won't play on mine but it does work in the computer...

I had this happen with some of the Faten Salama videos, when I finally bought a dvd player, it plays them all now.

I just examined this video with my utilities, and here's what I found...

My copy is DVD-R technology.
My copy is coded to play in all regions.
My copy is NTSC.

Based on the above, it should play fine in U.S. DVD players, though there are a small number of older ones that have difficulty with burned DVD's (those with purple backs including DVD-R and DVD+R) rather than pressed ones (those with silver backs).

Akasha, which program are you using on your work computer to play it successfully? Is it Windows Media Player, Intervideo WinDVD, Quicktime, RealPlayer, or PowerDVD? If you can tell me that, maybe I can help you figure out what may be going on.

Unfortunately, I don't have the DVD on me because I left it at home. I'll bring it to work with me tomorrow to see and I'll let you know!
