Threads you've started not coming up in the New Posts list

I've noticed that whenever you post to a thread then refresh the 'New Posts' list, the thread you've just replied to doesn't appear. The logic being, I suppose, that because you've just replied you've read everything in it, and the posts are no longer 'new'.

However - this also seems to apply to threads that you start! Once I've started a thread I *do* want to know whether people have responded, and can't work out why the threads I've started don't appear in my New Posts list. When I search for the threads I find that people have often replied.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a cunning way round it that I haven't sussed out? Is it only frustrating me...?

(And of course...both the threads I've just started appeared in the New Posts list just to prove me wrong and dunderhead-like, or maybe Bea has the magic touch )

No, you are not wrong. I have also found that to be true. There have been times when I go back just to make sure it posted properly, because like you I go to "new post" and can't seem to find it.

The logic that works for me: If I post a new topic, I've already seen it, so it shouldn't come up as a new post. Same applies when I post to an existing topic - it doesn't show up as a new post, either.
