Deleting an unread Sent Message

Hi - can anyone please tell me, if you delete a sent message and the recipient has not read it yet (ie it says 'UNREAD'), does this retract the message from their mailbox?

I suspect that you're only clearing your mailbox, not the recipient's. Do you want to PM me and test the theory?

ETA- I mean send me a PM, and I don't read it, then you delete it, and we'll see if it still shows in my inbox (it's all a bit Schrodinger isn't it!)
