Whats up with auction advertising?

I dislike being a fuddy duddy, but its getting out of hand when we have to see listings for auctions. I would rather be driven insane with glitter board advertising.... please make them go away....

I wonder if its another Google ad banner. Like the BDSS one? With Google, you really don't get much of a choice what ads come up.

Regardless, I don’t mind it, it’s small, at the very bottom, and relevant at least. Rosey & Co. have to earn enough money to cover the costs of the domain, web hosting, maintenance and updates of this site. Not to mention all the time that Rosey spends monitoring the boards, answering questions, Finding people to write articles, etc.

I shudder to think of all the work that goes into it. I don’t think anyone is getting rich off the site, but at least they'll get some pocket change!

Advertising on a website is exactly like commercials on TV or radio -- they're there paying for everything so we don't have to!

I much prefer Ebay advertising to the "adult" dating sites that pop up all over the place everywhere. I don't have a problem with the female body, but I can't use the computer anymore if my daughter is awake anymore-I am not ready to explain why there are women in underwear on the screen with a caption reading "guess what's underneath" =(

The auction ads were just a test and I think I have removed them all now. I put them on several pages just to see what they were. I may have missed a few, so if you see them on the site please send me a PM with the address of the page and I will remove it.
