a couple issues today....
Hi! Everything is looking super- thanx so much-- but I had a couple glitches to ask about.
One... I updated an item in the swap meet to reflect it sold-- I went to 'advanced' in order to be able to edit the title part, but strangely, it shows up at the top of the thread once you have clicked on it, but the original title is still what shows up in the list of threads under swap meet. I see that no one else's titles reflect 'sold' either so I'm assuming it's not just that I missed something, or did I? And yes, I tried refreshing the page several times.
Also, I went to start fixing up 'my page' and selected a bunch of colors and stuff, but no changes were made-- not sure if that function is not yet working or what happened.
Finally, I notice on some threads the whole text is on the screen at once, but on other threads you have to scroll over to read the end of each line-- I know this happens when someone posts a really long link, but in some cases I didn't see a culprit so wonder if it is the logo bar across the top, although I don't know why it would have been made longer only on certain pages.
Whatever the case looks like y'all have put a lot of work into it- thank you again.

1. The title of a thread can be changed only by a moderator. So instead you can edit the post title.
2. Dressing up your profile isn't working now (darn) Give us a few weeks to get it going.
3. go to "display modes" at the top of the post and choose "linear mode"

Hi Rosey-- thanx!
I'll try the color thing again in a few weeks then. :o)
I'm still unsure about the title thing though-- you mean if I start a thread for 'red costume' that title can never be modified? Obviously we aren't going to bug you every time we've sold or reduced an item to fix the title for us-- I can see why you might not want people changing thread names in other categories (although if we were to misspell something it would be kind of embarrassing not to be able to fix it) but maybe for the swap meet thread it could be allowed?
Also, I just noticed that when I go to a forum category only the newest posts (or I guess it's the ones that have had a new post since I last visited) are 'bold', I can see where that might seem helpful, but the problem is that when I went back two minutes later the entire list (such as all the swap meet threads) now look as though I have read them before so it makes it harder to figure out what I really did already look at. Sorry if I'm repeating things you've already heard in other posts! Again, thanks for all the hard work.
BTW, I like the stars!
Shimmies,
*E*

1) It's not me, It's the way the software is set up, I probably can't do anything about it. I could put it on the list, but it is a very long list right now! I don't mind editing the thread titles - leave a message in the business>questions forum
2) If you click on "new posts" to see the new posts, they stay bold untill you read them, so maybe that helps.

Hi Elviza, instead of hitting the New Posts link every time, you could use your back button, which would take you back to the original page you got when you first went to New Posts, which will be just the way you left it, bolds & not-bolds.
