not subscribing to a thread

I seem to be automatically subscribed to any thread I post to, and getting auto emails when anyone else posts? Not sure when this started or why.

How do I stop this, short of going to my settings constantly and deleting the subscribed threads?

yah, I would like the answer to this, also....

I figured it out. Go to "my settings" from the top of the page, then go to "edit options" from the left side menu, then scroll down to the default thread subscription and change it.
