PM notifications

Hey Rosey-

Is there anyway there could be a notice sent to your primary e-mail addy when you have an PM in your inbox? I don't all the time remember to check to PMs. But if there was a notification sent to me, I would do so more often. Just curious.

Hmmm. I get notifications. I wonder if there's a setting for that somewhere that you have to turn on?

Boy, that would be helpful. I don't check mine either ('cause I don't get many ) and I just found one in there from a couple of weeks back.

ETA: Theesfield, click My Settings and then Edit Options. There is an option to get an email notification in there. Whew!

I have notifications turned on, incuding the threads notification, but I am not receiving them. I was a up until a couple of weeks ago, so don't know what has happened

I have mine turned on too..but I have never recieved a notification. I just figured I need to be better at checking my PMs

If you have email notifications turned on then it is very likely that your inbox is blocking the emails for some reason. Please check your spam folder, and make sure that your spam blocker allows mail from bhuz.

I just checked my spam filters in gmail. It caught 4 items on Nov 27th. None of them was the message notification that I should have gotten from a message in my PM box yesterday.

I have never got thread notifications

I used to get PM notifications up until recently - so my registered email address is correct.

Neither are in my spam folders, nor did the PM notifications ever go there so I am pretty sure these notifications are never getting sent!

If you are not getting notifications, please send me a PM with your email address (and remind me that it is for fixing your notifications) and I will see if I can get it fixed.

I think I know what the problem is -- you need to have the following boxes checked in your MyBHUZ (in the navigation bar of the Home side of the site) > my account >account settings to get email notifications for these things:

Email Notifications:
Comments Posted
New Mail Messages
New Friends Requests

To subscribe to threads you have to use the "go advanced" selection to write a post. Then, scroll down and make your choice in the "thread subscription" box.

To get email notifications of new responses to threads you have subscribed to, do this in the Forum:
My Settings > edit options > messaging and notifications > Default Thread Subscription Mode & Private Messaging

Nothing in my spam boxes, I do check them quite often, and when the bhuz notifications stopped coming that was the first thing I did. I have all the boxes checked, just doubled checked to make sure..

Just seems odd - they just suddenly stopped coming.

I just sent you a PM. Check and see whether you got an email notifying you about it.

Not sure what happened, but I began receiving notifications again this morning. Last night I went and unticked everything, saved then went back and re-ticked. So have no idea why, but it is working now.
