Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
I can remove threads but I am very reluctant to do so because the forum needs to be more or less free of censorship. I mean more or less, there are things that should be censored.
I changed the title of the thread in question to make it less of an attack. If I hear from lots of people that the thread should be removed, I will do that. But I think this may be enough of a change.

Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
Oh, I don't advocate removing threads unless they're really, really offensive (and I realize that's subjective). There are just some threads I seriously don't want to see anymore. Yeah, I know, I can ignore them. I wish more people would!

Thank you Taj, I agree. The whole thing is staring to smell like bullying to me.

There is definitely some piling-on that I would have thought was beneath most Bhuzzers. Guess I was wrong. I just wish people would let it go.

Could the threads be locked? I am no longer going to post in any of those Rita threads. It has gotten out of hand on all fronts. Time to settle down.

Yes, they've definitely gotten out of hand. But she keeps posting.

If you stop responding, she'll go away.

Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
I am not sure that there is a nice and polite way to say that - but I would like to have a way not to see the entire topics anymore, which includes many Bhuz members' messages. Like what has been expressed above - my sentiments are not just about one specific poster, but rather about the way the entire discussion has developed.

Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
I've used the "ignore" list, but, unfortunately, you still see that the post is there. Kind of pointless, actually.

Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
I agree that if no one looks at or responds to any thread Rita38 starts, she will go away. It's hard -- like not looking at an accident scene -- but we're all adults (or nearly all), we can do it. If she posts in other threads, ignore it, act like it isn't there. Short of banning her, I don't see much of any other way to handle the situation.

Re: Is there a "Hide Thread" function?
I've never felt the need to "ignore" someone on bhuz. I've done that on other forums. I usually just avoid topics if they start to bother me. Locking a topic would probably be good . . .
