Are you Friendless?
I realize not everyone is into the "Friends" function, but for those who are enjoying using all the bhuz bells and whistles or hate that little reminder that "xyz has no friends" -
Be sure to check your friend requests. You may have some in there. I've sent a few that people didn't know about & maybe others are having the same confusion.
To check - go to "My Bhuz" on the menu bar and from the drop down choose "My Messages" from there - choose "Friends" from the blue tabs at the top of the darker green area - over to the right of that page you will see a box with "New Requests"
Or, you can use the "Quick Links" drop down & choose "Private Messages" and from there select the blue "Friends" tab and proceed as above.
Maybe someone else (Rosey?) knows a shorter way to do this...those are the ways I found.

I railed against the friends function, but since we're stuck with it, I'm using it!

I'm with you on that Mish Mish, it feels so Junior High-ish to me. But at the same time, I couldn't deal with that "Lilladancer has no friends" thing on my profile, cuz dang it, I know I have a few! LOL So if ya can't beat em, join em.....and all the pretty avatars makes that profile page look more "friendly". Thanks Dani, for clearing up the process, at least now I know how it works!

my friends make me happy
Even though I may have thought it was a little too "my space" at first,
I have to say that I really like going to my page and seeing people's shining faces there. It makes it a little more personal and warm to me.
Friday I had hell day at work and when I came home and got on bhuz, I went to update my profile stuff and there were all my bhuz friends all together in a nice supportive group. I felt better.
Schmaltzy though it might sound it helped! So I like the function now, I think it comes in handy.

How do you ask people to be your friend?
I only have one friend (Soheir) and would love to have more.

Click on someone's picture or profile page and there on the upper left under their picture you'll see an "invite to friends" choice. just click! I just clicked on your page & sent you a friendly request.

I hope I can ask this question so that it makes sense. When someone invites you to be their friend and you approve it, then are you automatically added to their friend's list or do you need to invite them to be your friend? Hope that makes sense.

hope this is correct poohbear: once someone has invited you and you accept then both your profiles are automatically updated (so no need for you to do anything else after acceptance)

Thanks alot. I had 5 pending I did not know about. I hope no one thinks I am a snob for not approving.
Rosey can we fix this. My message box showed no new messages when I had pending friend request. Can we add friend request to inbox.

If you accept a friend invite then send an invite to the same person which they accept, you end up with that person as a friend twice. I know because I managed to do it accidentally

Same here. I hated seeing "no friends". So I had to invite. I really do not see the sense of it, unless you have alot of close friends on here that you want to send a personal post to them.

Thanks and The Point of "Friends"
Thanks for the heads up Dani, I had one I didn't know about.
Is there any benefit in having "friends" in Bhuz besides showing how popular you are?? For example in Tribe when people in my friends list post a blog or pictures they appear on my homepage. Are there similar benefits to the Bhuz Friends?

As far as I know, the only thing it drives is the "bulletins". If you go to that section, you'll only see bulletins posted by your friends, not by anyone else.
