HTML code for hyperlinks

I can't get my HTML code to work so that my URL is hyperlinked in my signature/headline.

What is the code? I'm using the normal <h ref> doohickey but my hyperlink is not working...

 <a href="http://www.azhiadance.com">Azhiadance.com</a>

If signatures support html, of course.
If it doesn't work, try the [url] code
