No respect of dancers ideas, costuming,...

Hi,
I´m again sorry for my bad english, but I´m so angry
a friend of mine send me this link
Belly Dance Design - galleryBelly Dance Design - gallery

to a webside, but you can also look here to a discussion about this costumes:

http://www.bhuz.com/forum/belly-danc...s-asher-2.html

That problem: she used a lot of photos of me. I never had contact to her, she never ask me for using my photos.
I am very angry, because I spend a lot of money for my photos and also for my costumes, and she use it without my permisson.
I write her to delete my photos within three days in "Belly Dance RETAIL Swap Meet!" and she delete my commentary.
Now I found an mail from her, she will contact her administrator and ask him to remove photos.
But no excuse!!!!! Sometimes I don´t understand people!

Very sad an angry

You and Sibel Nefa, Djamila, pictures from the Dahlal website etc.

I suspect that actually, the people from bddesign use ONLY other people's pictures in this gallery? And a lot of those costumes are Bellas, so how on earth do they think they can pass them off as their own designs???

I really understand your anger and think that it's very unprofessional behaviour from their side!

What is going on? The link in this thread has pages and pages of other people and others' costumes. The link on Asher's thread has far fewer and they appear to be originals.

I think the poster is new ,is not an English speaker and has hoped to place this thread in the correct section. If shehas misplaced the post it is in errorWhatever she is pointing out something important

In aschers costume thread, she said these pictures are for inspiration in case somone doesn't know what type of costume they want to design. those are not pictures of her designs.
I don't think she should be using other people's pics without asking them though.

Yes, definitely a bad idea.

They could just list the links to these websites so people could go there themselves!

Well nevertheless - as long as Asher's Page is in Russian to most of the visitors it looks like she want's to say that either she did these Costumes or suggest she can do them. But most of these are Bella Costumes - i do not think that Evin of Bella Costumes Istanbul will be delighted to see somebody offering to copy her creative work.....

Re: No respect of dancers ideas, costuming,...

Hi girls,

because my posting in the original thread was deleted by Ashher (because she paid for it), here's my answer.

Ashher wrote:

"Hi Sherita, yes, I have permissions from part of the dancers. Part of them I know personally, part - over internet. For sure, I'm unable to find contacts of every girl on every picture that I found in Internet. So time from time new dancer contacting me and ask to add more her pictures ( they love free advertisings ) or ask to remove her pictures - doing this without problem."

In fact, I never met her, I never bought any costume from her, I never got any email from her, I even didn´t know her name until yesterday - and of course I never gave her the permission to use my photos!!!! Especially not for any commercial use!!!!

And of course there is a copyright mentioned on my website djamila.de: "Picture Copyright © Djamila Kotsch. A use without explicit written approval pulls claims for damages after itself."

By the way: If Ashher would like it if another designer would use her costume-photos "to inspire their clients"??? This is like to steal someone elses idea and creativity!

I and the other dancers too paid a lot of money for the costumes (a lot of them are from BELLA), and for sure I DON'T WANT THAT MY COSTUMES ARE COPIED by other designers!

I told her she have 3 days to delete my pictures... let´s see what happens...

Hello,
Ashher never ask me too if she can use my pictures. On every picture of me, there is my name, so it will be no problem to look after my homepage in the internet and to contact me. But I never heard from her and she never get in contact to ask about my permission! So I also will wait 3 days and than look what to do...
And at all: I never hear an excuse for stolen our photos.

All this is surely conterproductive to Ascher as a business womna. A matter of approval and trust...and anyway what was wrong with the costumes she really had designed?

So where DOES she find the pictures if not on the dancer's websites???

What's the advertising value if there is no name and source given?

Strange logic.
