ISO kneepads or recommendations

Hello! I am working on floorwork, and have decided my knees need a break.... does anyone have any kneepads to sell, or any recommendations on which ones are the best to use? Thanks so much!

Re: ISO kneepads or recommendations

I just picked up some of the volleyball kneepads at Sports Authority. I think they were around $5 and they're not too bulky and work well for me. Some dancers feel like the wrap around bit is restricting though.

I encountered the same problem with floor work. I went to my local dance supply store (think ballet for the most part) and found a pair made specifically for dance. They worked like a charm. Or, you can try Discount Dance online. I've ordered stuff from them in the past and would recommend them. Here's a link to their knee pads:

Oops, the link didn't work. Go to their home page here and do a search for knee pads, then you'll find them.

I bought some at Big 5 sports. They are black and not very bulky. I did have to cut part of the stiching because it dug into my leg when I would bend it. I would reccomend trying them on. Wal Mart also sells similar ones for about $12.

Re: ISO kneepads or recommendations

There are 2 basic kinds of kneepads for sports...the "bubble" type, and the low-profile type. I find the low-profile ones adequate for floorwork, etc and they fit well under harem pants without bulging out too much.

Hi Halima! I am looking for the low profile ones, in nude color, does anyone know where I can find those? I did a google search and only found the black ones that look really bulky!

I bought white ones from a sports store then died them "nude" by tea-staining them. It's super easy, just put like 12 bags of tea in boiling water, then add the knee pads. Leave them in until they look the right color, then rinse and dry. That's it - easy and cheap.
