WANTED: chiffon panel/circle skirt with slits

[BI have been searching for an affordable dark purple, burgundy or even dark green panel skirt with 2 slits (on the sides) for months now and can't seem to find what I need. Just a PLAIN skirt, no silver, that I can wear with a belt or small hips scarf for practicing and classes so it can't be so sheer you can see underwear. but it's okay to see my legs while moving

I have seen various websites that offer these either made custom or just in stock, but it's hard to tell if they are as sheer as tissue paper or not [/b] Don't really want to double up as that is too bulky.

I think a dark color would help (not black though) and i don't necessarily need a veil (would be nice though) But all the skirts i look at on the web are either too full to show off the leg or have siver on them. Anyone out there have some second hand stuff or a site that offers this? I am 5' 8" (i wear the skirt low on hips) and my waist is 33" (around the hipbones) and the fullest part of hips are 38" I think the length should be at least 36". Thanks bhuzzers

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. Most of us don't wear skirts for class or practice or to teach in because it is so important for instructors and students to see exactly what the legs and feet are doing.

If you are going to wear the skirt just for practice then I wouldn't worry about whether it is plain or has decoration. A single layer of chiffon is going to be pretty thin and will show your underwear. Circle skirts with slits come with slits the side when there are just one front panel and one back panel or slits over the fronts of the legs when two panels are sewn together in the back.

If all you want is a circle skirt to practice in, go to Good Will and get a thin cotton broomstick skirt and cut slits into the side. Or buy some inexpensive fabric and make a circle skirt. Silk Essence is a nice flowing fabric that is cheap, easy to sew, and comes in pretty solid colors.

I don't sew at all, but it sounds like a circle skirt is what i am looking for. I just assumed a circle skirt would be too full to see any leg. And yes, it is just for having fun while practicing. I am sure in class the instructor would want to see our legs. But as of now I don't have access to a class so just dvd's until this summer when there will be a workshop and hopefully classes to follow. This is just a search for something I think would jazz up my drilling dvd's. And because it's simply fun to dance in a flowing skirt ;)
