ISO staves for making Veil Fans

I am looking for the lighter weight more flexible staves for making veil fans.

Does anyone know where to buy them? I need about 30 of them.

The only place I know offhand that sells any type of staves is Meleea's bazaar, www.beledi.com - they're bamboo and I know she makes her own fan veils with them.

Hi everyone, thanks for replying.

I do have Meleea's videos and I did ordered some staves from her. They are really sturdy.

Specifically, I am looking for a lightweight, flexible, bamboo stave, the kind that opens and closes easily. Also, I would like to be light in color, not dyed or stained.

A dance troupe from NC, Rising Sun Tribe, made some fan veils using martial arts fan materials - you may want to check with them for their supplier as well :)

I ordered some from Zucker's, they are the same that Meleea sells. They are pretty stiff, not flexible.

I have googled forever and tried ebay and cant seem to find whaat I am looking for, although I know it exists, and some of the people that make veil fans use the lighter, more flexible versions (not that they would tell me where to get them!)

Hmmmm...wish I could help more! All of my fans came pre-attached ;)

Oh wait! I think universal curio on ebay sells the staves sometimes...you may want to email them
