images not showing up?

this is what i did:

opened front page, started brand new website (because i dont have the time to learn dreamweaver and photoshop YET..in time i know i have to)

started brand new page, got everything laid out, images inserted, saved all pages to my c drive , under a new web site folder

went to ftp filemanager, successfully loaded all the files (i think) replaced the old index file with the new one, all links work, looks ok so far but some of the images are missing

so i went back to front page where i could visually work with things (since i dont understand much html) and I opened the files to front page, i deleted out the pics and put them in again and made sure those images were saved to the same new web site folder in the c drive

went back to ftp file manager, uploaded them, they are all there

but no images

i even deleted out the index file again and then reloaded it but still no images

many of them show up fine but some of them dont..what pathway did i miss?

i think i am going to bed so i'll hit this again in the morning, the site can just look unfinished overnight (bugs a gemini)

i know there is a broken pathway..the images are all located in the new web site folder saved as jpgs (the other docs are saved as html and they uploaded and published no problem)

do i have to resave the pics to a different location and/or give them a different extension? where do i save them to? time for bed for real now
