Help wavepad users

I was so excited to finally find music editing software compatible with Windows 98.

Problem is I'm clueless as to how to use it.

I was finally able to download and play the song I want to edit but after that I can't figure it out.

I need a step by step instruction. I want to edit the track to make it shorter then burn on a cd. I will also be moving some sections around.
