need a good camera for my kid

my older boy has expressed a sustained interest in photography and video..i'd like to pick him up a nice camera. Actually it's double purpose, it will be for 'business' but will have his name on it..

can anyone recommend a good camera, preferably digital ..for someone like me who is clueless about things like shutter speed and what not but something advanced enough where I can encourage his interest and still use the photos for biz purposes?

what i'd really like to get him is a camera that can take multiple photos really quickly..i dont even know what that's called. under 800 dollars would be preferable if such a thing exists..oh can you insure a camera ?

Take him to a Best Buy, and talk to a sales rep. You can buy an extended warranty for it if you buy one there. I did it with mine, and had it repaired twice under warranty.
