Annoyed with eBay

So, the new scam I reported in my other message makes me think the time has come to go on a password-changing spree.

So I went to eBay to change my password there. After 20 minutes of digging, I still haven't found an option to change my password! You would think that their "Security Center" would have the password change option in a nice, easy-to-find place. But no, it's full of crap like tutorials on account security.

I don't need a damned tutorial. I already know that changing my password is a good idea. So why in the <bleep> don't they make it easy to do it?

I hate it when I feel like my time is being wasted by computer software that makes it hard to find the functionality I'm looking for, especially when the functionality in question is as important as password changing!

Thank you for letting me rant!

Re: Annoyed with eBay

When you log into "My Account" on the lefthand side of the page there is a column. Half way down or more there is a heading "My Account" and under that "Personal Information" click on Personal Information and it brings you to a page where there is an edit button on the right hand side to change your password.

Now does anybody know a way to change your last name on PayPal without sending them a marriage certificate? I gave up and opened a new account; was too lazy to do anything that required actual paper. :(

OMG!!! I had the same issue after I got married! But I was ultra-lazy to start a new one w/my married name, and just always include a message when I pay for something to say that "my new married name is so-and-so."

Re: Annoyed with eBay

I'm sure that if you called PayPal, they could tell you if it can be done.

Re: Annoyed with eBay

Nope, you gotta send in a frickin' piece of paper to PayPal with proof of name change. I've asked (after going through the annoying phone tree). Same to change the username for my online bank info.
I have to be reminded of my ex husband every time 'coz I haven't gotten around to mailing in the darn pieces of paper. What a racket...just a piece of paper!
