Los Angeles Saturday night-any recommendations?

Are there any late night live Arabic music places in the vicinity of UCLA or the airport that would have music on Saturday night after the Leila Haddad concert?

Is Wahib's the one I found on the internet out in Alhambra?

you'll be close to Byblos, which is also in Westwood, but I'm not sure if they have live music every night. Wahib's is in Alhambra, which will take you 30 minutes or so after Leila's show...open dancing until 2pm, and Tamra-henna (or Stevie or somebody) goes on at like midnight or 12:30am. :)

It's not walking distance from UCLA but a short car/cab ride.

Is Byblos a friendly place? I see they have a special singer on Sat nite.

I think it depends on what you mean by friendly. I have gone on nights where all the women glare at me. Others, once they see that I dance like them - and I am not after their husbnads - they are fine.

Bu tthat having been said, the food is mediocer.

Thanks all for your recommendations. Really helped. We decided to forgo Byblos (didn't want mediocre food). As luck would have it, we got invited to an after party and ended up partying with Leila and the Muscians of the Nile.

Got to see Aisha Ali dance Ghawazee to their music. Unbelievably awesome.

Will stow away your advice for a future visit.
