Best place to buy a sword/scimitar- recommendations?
What is your favorite sword or scimitar vendor? I am looking to get a 3rd sword/scimitar - I have issues w/my second one, though I love it, the handle has come off twice. I got it from Audrena.com and the handle is hollow and it keeps coming loose from the blade. Of course this 2nd time happened right before a show, too. Anyway, advice anyone?
Thanks,
Eve

Crimson Vision has an AWESOME scimitar available here on the swap meet, if you're not afraid of a big sword.
I have sorta dibs on it, but if someone else buys it, it's ok - it may be too big for me...

I would also recommend Saroyan's swords-I have one, it is notched and balanced perfectly, it's not too heavy and the design is beautiful.

Another recommendation for Saroyan. Beautiful, well made and fast shipping!

I love my sword from Kittie Sparkle. It's sooo well-balanced, lightweight but heavy enough to dance well. Does she still sell them on e-bay? Or do you have to e-mail her? There should be a thread about her swords somewhere on Bhuz.

Re: Best place to buy a sword/scimitar- recommendations?
I've been looking for swords as well and just bought my first on Ebay for $45US + S&H. I found a site Kult Of Athena - swords, axes, maces, flails, and other medieval weapons that has very reasonably priced swords. Hope this helps!

I love Kult of Athena. Everything about their customer service is wonderful and they price match if you can find it for cheaper elsewhere!

Never used a notched sword before, so that would be a first. But I have 2 sets of Soroyan zills and LOVE them both. I never thought to look at Soroyan for swords/scimitars! Thanks!

I also own a Saroyan sword and I love it! My dance instructor also has a Saroyan - she ordered hers the same time as I did - and she is very, very happy with this sword (more so than her previous one which was not a Saroyan and she sold it).
