I've been sending emails to the Belly Dance Store (shahrzad1001@comcast.net) but they keep bouncing back!

Any ideas why......????

One of my troupe members who has a comcast account has had major probs getting her emails lately and has started using a different account. Comcast is funny that way... Have you tried calling? I'll let Shahrzad know that there are email probs.

Yeah, the same thing happened to my Apt. Manager. She too uses Comcast and they changed her email address and she can't send out or get emails. She spent all afternoon on the phone to fix the problem. Don't know exactly what got fixed (didn't ask) but it seems to be working now.

Rosemarie, I wondered if you might be far away. Checked your post but your location wasn't listed.

I emailed Shahrzad on her personal email to let her know about the problem -- but usually people with Comcast email know when they have a problem, and can't do anything about it but shriek with frustration.

Email is so great when it works! But so frustrating when it doesn't. My main business email stopped working last year right before a show. The provider had switched to new servers, and the new servers didn't recognize any of us! Boy, was I stressed out. Thanks goodness my webmaster helped to straighten things out before my brain exploded!

She might not be able to do anything about comcast, but maybe she could start a new email with gmail or something like that so people can reach her.

Then again, if you're not able to change your website yourself, implementing a new email adres will also take a lot of time.

This is starting to really annoy me!
I've tried both emails adresses and they still bounce back.
Here I am, interested in buying a costume and unable to contact the company.
Don't they care that this "problem" is costing them customers!

That's my whinge and whine moment!!

Both of my paid email providers -- Comcast and Toad -- make me crazy! Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. But my Gmail and Yahoo accounts work all the time, and they're free. Should be the other way around, one would think.

i just got a slick...kinda skanky ad from them in e mail today!
it looked like a calvin cline thing.....industerial, really high heels
did they always "look" like that?

skanky?! i kinda liked it...........but then, i used to live in ny so the background made me kinda nostalgic :p

i thought it was kinda cool and edgy and modern, kind of how i view the sahars they were modelling.......

Hey Cory,
Are you referring to the "Raqs in the City" ad? I really like the concept even though I've never even seen the show (Sex in the City).
The girls in it are really pretty- new to the scene- from what one told me she "took a class and then studied with videos" as far as belly dance education. I told her about all the forums and educational tools online for belly dance business as well as all the amazing teachers in the area.
It's nice to see costumes on a real body and I think it's great that she does this in her ads. I'm not a fan of the legs/knees wide apart stance though, in belly dance or in modeling.
