Has anyone bought from Moondance?

I am looking for a skirt just for practicing in ( beginner here) and just to jazz up my home workouts with. I have been looking at an online store called Moondance. Anyone bought from here? The prices are almost too good to be true, but on the other hand Other sites charge more and i dont want to pay $70 for something that i will just use for class or practice. That said, can anyone suggest something in a less expensive price range? Have looked at l. rose and like their stuff, but chiffon may be too sheer.

Basically what i want is a 2 slit chiffon panel or circleskirt that i can wear a coin belt over and not have to wear a slip or harem pants underneath. I see this look on the websites i visit so i know it exists, but i just want to show some leg, not have my underwear hanging out It's just so hard to tell on the internet how sheer the fabric is. I like the movement of chiffon. Silk looks too light to swish around. Any suggestions? Love this site

Re: Has anyone bought from Moondance?

I had a forum about that a long time ago. Let me see if I can find it, and I'll post the link.

Re: Has anyone bought from Moondance?

Well, it's so old that I think Bhuz erased it by now. I can't even find it. Everyone told me (at least the majority) that Moondance was reputable and has generally fast shipping. They told me not to be fooled by the business (busy-ness, sp.?, may not be a word) of the website. I never got around to ordering from them though.

Hope that helps a bit!

I ordered something from Moondance once ... I honestly can't remember exactly what I bought, but I was happy with the product and service.

Several of my students have purchased from Moondance and had good things to say about them.

I have purchased several things from them. The shipping is a little high I think but overall I happy and would buy from them again.

The price for shipping is very high, especially taking into account they don't have a reputation of shipping fast (I am waiting right now - and they sure take their time). I'd order more if their shipping rates were more reasonable.

From what I have seen, the products are nice, I got a Jaipur skirt that I love.

Re: Has anyone bought from Moondance?

I agree with Steffib--their shipping prices are quite high, and the delivery time I find to be only average.

One thing to be careful of is their return policy. You only have a week or so to return something, and you have to ask before you return it to see if they'll accept it. You will be given store credit only--no cash refunds. I have never had a problem returning something as long as it was within the allowed time frame, but the times I missed by a day or two I was out of luck.

The products themselves are rather nice quality for the price, and they have a large selection. Despite what I've mentioned above, I would still order from them again if something really catches my eye.

Re: Has anyone bought from Moondance?

Hi,

I just ordered a gypsy skirt and shipping was 12.95. You had me worried so I had to go look at my email receipt. I think that's a pretty typical shipping handling charge. No returns though, so I hope it is a nice skirt! I ordered a week ago so have not received it yet.

Where are you located?

Moondance often vends at Medfest in West Seattle in July. Along with many other vendors. An opportunity to actually see and try on merchandise. If you are in the vicinity of course.
