Has anyone ordered from Egydance?

I've been looking at a costume at Egy Dance - Egyptian Dance, Egyptian belly dance costumes, belly dance articles, belly dance videos, belly dance scarfs, belly dance shop, belly dancers, belly dance stores - Belly Dance Costumes, but earlier in the year the website had been hit by hackers. I was able to contact someone eventually and the site was fixed, but I'm still not 100% comfortable about ordering from them online.

After going back and forth with the contact person via email about the site, I was told I could order via email if I didn't want to put my card number out there, but I sent him an email at the address he indicated about a week ago and have yet to hear anything from him.

I was going to just suck it up and order online, but once I get into the checkout area, it won't allow me to use PayPal like the site seems to indicate, and I don't see any indication that their checkout is secure. So I'm still all hesitant, but I love this costume!

Has anyone dealt with this vendor before? I don't know whether I should pursue the email route or not....

I ordered a costume from egydance. I paid via wire transfer. I didn't want to go through the website either.

I ordered from him also, via email. The only way to pay was via money transfer/orders, so I did that through my bank. I had an awesome custom made at my door in less than 20 days. I plan to order from him again. Loved it.

I haven't ordered from his site, so I can't vouch for the ordering process, but I bought one of his costumes lightly used from Rania and I LOVE it. It's very well-made and well-designed and even came with a little baggie full of 'spare parts' beads in case I need to make repairs.

Thanks for the reassurance, and I'm really happy to hear that the quality of his costumes is good. I followed up by doing the "Contact Us" link through the site and he responded right away, it seems my email query got eaten by Teh IntarWeb. Now we're going back and forth with information, and if everything looks good I'll place an order in the next few days. Then it's wait and see until the costume comes in!

If anyone else can weigh on how they paid (wire transfer, etc.) and the costume fit and quality, I'd still love to hear it!

Thanks so much, ladies. You've made me feel much better about going after the set I've been drooling over since December.

I just wanted to update, I ordered my bra and belt on June 20th, sending the payment through Western Union. It was picked up right away, and I received the set yesterday on July 8th. That was 19 days from start to finish!

The bra and belt came out beautifully and fit me perfectly. They pre-sewed two sets of hooks on the belt, one of which is exactly perfect. The bra is set as a halter, and that too is perfectly adjusted. The skirt hits exactly where I need it to, and the included armbands fit like a glove. Um. Beside the fact that's what they are.

Since the site isn't secure I definitely recommend using a wire transfer for payment, but overall I had a great experince with EgyDance and and totally thrilled with my costume.

You can get a costume just as elaborate and of high quality for far less than those sell.

Gorgeous. I've seen a few of these in person and the detail is rich and beautiful. The finishing work is unusually well done, too -- not as many shortcuts as you often see even on some higher-end costumes.
