I ordered two half circle silk veils from Gypsy De Rose in August of '06 that came to nearly $100. I never received them, and gypsy de Rose refuses to respond to my countless emails.

I sent her an email back in November posing as someone else interested in veils and she responded immediately. When I told her who I really was and asked about my veils or a refund she again didn’t respond.

I’m now looking into taking legal action.

There should definitely be something in the old Bhuz about this vendor. I had issues with this vendor when she used ebay. While I did receive my veils, I had to resort to reporting her & posting negative feedback to get a response.

Alot of people have had issues with this vendor. I ordered two veils from her a couple of years ago, and when I mentioned something on Bhuz about the so called "finished edges" of her veils not being finished at all, they were just a raw edge, she immediately fired off a very rude and nasty email to me demanding that I explain myself to her immediately. I wouldn't ever buy anything from this vendor again...mostly because she's rude.

I posted one of her veils on the old Bhuz's ugly costume thread --because i like Jesennia's fire veil better than the person's mentioned in this thread and she threatened to sue either me or Jesennia or both of us. It was a long time age--maybe 3 years ago.

UPDATE

Thanks to public forums such as this one, Gypsy refunded me the full amount of my purchase. I was previously unsuccessful in getting anywhere with this. Thanks for allowing me to participate in a public forum that contributed in producing satisfying results. :O)

dear gawd is she still around? the gypsy saga went on for about a year..i received multiple threats to pay her money or she would sue me (for what???) then she blamed me for ruining her business when it looks like she did a good enough job of that herself. this one has a background of causing problems then changing identity and starting over.

i believe everyone deserves a second chance..and sometimes even a third. well i gave her three or more and after being continuously kicked in the teeth for it, i signed it off as forget about it and move on.

there are so many others of us offering veils now so no need to go thru someone who makes problems

Just out of curiosity... did she ever sell on ebay under the name white horse gypsy or somesuch? Her practices sound like someone else who bilked my troupe and I out of a five skirt order!!

Well, y’all are not going to believe this!!!! Gypsy sent me an email today telling me that she would never do business with me again because I cared more about publicly embarrassing her than I did her sick horse. She also informed me that I did not deserve one of her beautiful silks. I’m so stunned that I don’t even know how to respond.

And I swear I'm not making this up....

Scarlet has been getting rave reviews on Tribe, from what I've seen. Seems she straightened out and is selling legit, original and quality merchandise. Good for her.

Hehehehe. Damned if you do...

As I see it, prior to kicking up dust she felt you unworthy of getting her lovely silks...evidenced by the fact that she wouldn't SEND you one. So you speak up, kick up dust, and get the silk and get told you are unworthy.

I'm pretty sure we'd all prefer the action that gets us the item that we paid for.

I'd probably have told her to screw herself and screw the horse that she would have rode in on if it were an option and not sick.
