Topkapi Designs - where are you??
Anyone know what has happened to Topkapi Designs? Topkapi Designs, Ltd -- Authentic Bellydancing Costumes
I'm dying to order a costume from them, but they aren't answering the phone, voice mail is full, so I can't leave a message, and have gotten no response from email.

I'd love to know where they've gone too. I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago inquiring about a costume and never got a reply. I was going to give them a telephone call but I see there's no point in that.
Somebody on Bhuz lives near them. I think it might be Yazeena. I seem to remember reading a post of hers in which she mentioned living near them. I'll send her a PM and see what she says.

Rose I think just got married a couple of weeks ago..So she may be away or just in honeymoon mode..She never returned my calls I always needed to call numerous times when I needed something..Hope that helps

I had a PM conversation with Yazeena. She said that they don't have much in stock these days and are probably focusing on custom orders.

Thanks, everyone.
I pretty much have no choice but to order custom. I'm a 33D, with 38 hips. And I'm short. I've NEVER found anything in stock that will fit me. 
I'll try again in October, and hopefully I can at least get a person to respond.

Is Gulsun Rose (the name I knew the owner by when I was doing consignment for her) the same person as Rose?
It was always difficult to get Gulsun to answer email or to return phone calls, and some custom orders were never responded to at all. She finally told me that whenever she feels overwhelmed, she just deletes everyone's emails and phone messages and then she "feels much better".
There's more, but this might explain why she doesn't answer your emails.

Gulsun is a first name for Turkish girl...
believe me that is very funny....
I am Turkish and I dont conduct business like that...none of my Turkish Friends either, but it could be hard to get a hold off some that is I admit....

Topkapi still has it's Turkey counterpart; I believe Gulsun's sister and other family run the actual manufacturing and she did the designing. Check out this website to get in contact with them "over there."

The situation might have changed but the last time I contacted the people in Turkey I was told I had to order through Gulsen. That was an effort in futility so I shopped elsewhere. That was probably seven to ten years, hopefully things have improved.
