So they do have a speck of customer service after all
I just called Dahlal. Again. After calling last week and never getting a return phone call.
"We expect your costume at the end of the month," they said.
"Forget it," I said. I told them they had terrible customer service and that they have made many customers unhappy. I told them I didn't even want the costume anymore and to cancel my order and give me a refund (fully expecting a bitter fight, a shouting match, and then to be screwed out of my deposit).
Instead, "I'll have them process your refund this afternoon," and then she hung up on me.
We'll see if it actually happens ... I'll keep y'all posted.

It really is noticeable, and my resale value will be down considerably.
I can't believe they made that mistake.
It came PERFECT length, then they went ahead and took off two inches for no apparent reason, and then put back on.
So, it's their mistake.

Good luck with getting that refund or discount.

Believe it or not ...
they gave me my money back on my deposit!
They're redeemed slightly, but not enough for me to ever order with them again, and I will still strongly caution anyone who wants to place a custom order with them. Take the advice of many others -- go straight to the designer. Save money on both your costume and headache medicine!

Yeah and on top of all this shit they want to jack up the prices almost $300! I'll never order a custom costume again, not even when they're on sale.

Yeah, but how do you order a Pharaonics from the designer?
Hey Maria, I told Bauchladen I wanted a refund. I was told that one of the costumes are almost done and that I would get a refund on the other two. They were nice enough to suggest Shimi (see to your right of this screen). Now I don't know if I should go with Shimi because Bauchladen suggested them.

Oh, I just saw another post on a different thread that states Amira from Pharanics does not want to receive any calls to do individual costumes and that she wants dancers to go through a vendor.

I just got off the phone with Audrenas, I had called to see if my costume was still supposed to be here in the beginning of november. When I initially ordered it in the beginning of September, they told me it would be leaving egypt october 9th so she needed payment in full by then. I was barely able to get it all together by then, but I did. Ive called probably twice just asking if she knew when it would be here. The first time she said the shipment should get to her by the beginning of november, and they would call when it came in. Now she says they are expecting it at the end of November/beginning of December. She asked if I needed it for a special event and I said there was one in a few weeks I was planning on using it for. I told her when I first called that I was told it would be done by October 9th. She said that was impossible because of Ramadan and she was sorry if I was led to believe that. I just said thanks, bye. Is it any good to get upset with them on the phone, or just be patient and wait. Is anyone else waiting for a pharonics right now?

I'm never getting calls back about my refund on the eman. I've called and emailed. Must have spent THOUSANDS with Dahlal over the years, never mind sending students her way.
So, this week I am crazy insane getting ready for a big flamenco show with my first solo, and I have to deal with this crap-ola. NOT in a happy mood.
*sigh*
But I don't want to let is go any longer.

So, again, I call Dahlal who was supposed to have the Eman shipment in "by mid week" THIS week. They have no shipment, but she says she may get it by FedEx this afternoon. This still does not guarantee that MY particular order will be in the shipment, if the shipment is even received. I told her I would call back tomorrow, and if my order has not been received, I am canceling the order. So I told her I'd check back tomorrow and we'd see if it's in or cancelled, and all she could say was "well..OK."
This is ridiculous to have to wait since February 15th until now for an order! And I love the costume and hate to cancel it...but I'm soooo not happy with them!
