Dahlal Product Back Orders

I'm wondering if anyone out here in Bhuz land has any experience regarding back orders from Dahlal for products other than custom-made costumes. Last week I ordered two silk veils, three DVDs, and one CD of music from Dahlal. The silk veils and two DVDs arrived quickly with no problem. However, one DVD and the music CD were back ordered. The e-mail notification I received said that two items were back ordered, that I would not be charged for those items until they were shipped, and that I would receive an e-mail update as to the ship date for them. I have not received any further info from Dahlal. If any of you have any experience with this situation and can give me an idea of how long my other DVD and CD will take to arrive, I would appreciate the information. Thanks.

I waited several months for a backordered sword from Dahlal, which they finally told me they could no longer get from their supplier. And I just ordered 3 CDs and 2 are backordered. Hope it doesn't take as long!!

It can take a very long time to get items backordered from them. So i ask them to cancel if backordered and look around for a vendor that has the item in stock.

try calling them and asking for Christie Molnar. she is a customer service queen, she is very helpful and will give you the straight scoop.

hope your goodies arrive soon! i know how terrible it is to wait when you finally buy yourself a present :)

Their customer service reps are very nice, I recommend calling rather than emailing them. But I did end up canceling an order for something that was back ordered after waiting for quite some time.

The Pharoanics I ordered in June has arrived Stateside and is paid for and being shipped on Monday and guess what?!!! ???
We have a F***ing postal strike here in the UK...nash nash nash

It's arrived. Customs got me.
But it fits perfectly except that no one ever seems to believe how long my body is..sooo..it's about fiddling with one's gusset on the mesh body. And anyone looking for a versatile costume...this is it. bra and belt and separate skirt togther with armlets. body and nude bra and the usual veil, wrap and anklets.

Purple deep bright purple and irridescent pink and purple sequins and bright AB crystals. Not a quiet colour at all. Originally I asked for red then changed my mind and...lo bought that purple Abla in the long wait!
Sorry for those of you waiting for yours but it's just lovely and I especially like the belt/sash. It would nice with an alternative skirt but what colour I wonder!!!??
Just that gusset (pardon my language)is a problem. I want to cut the whole bottom outa it and replace it with low cut cotton nicks. Do you reckon that is feasible?

I am very happy to tell you that I have now received all of my items from Dahlal. The music CD arrived two weeks ago, and I received the final DVD this week. So I now have received all of my items. Thanks for your info to all who replied to my questions. I appreciate it.

I remember that I bought a custom color costume in late November and it showed up in June (a day before my recital). They were so lucky it showed up when it did! Actually, I called the phone number and talked to numerous people on a daily basis about 2 weeks before the costume arrived. It took time to deliver from Egypt, then it was stuck in customs. I upgraded to overnight to get it in time. everyone was nice and apologetic.

I haven't had any trouble with dvds/cds but my custom costume I ordered in March 2007 arrived at my door in January 2008! Apparantely it arrived at Dahlal in late Nov after many hold-ups but their email to me that it arrived never got to me (must have been eaten in cyber space!). F/u via emails provided the answer & when I did call they always were great to talk to.

I Have to say I was worried and never thought it would take that long but it was worth the wait! It's fabulous! I got the Sparkling Seventies in the cobalt blue. The photos do not do it justice!! I'll have to post some later. Oh and now it's in Olive! Dahlal Internationale

MY mom ordered a bunch of stuff for me for Christmas '06. She ordered them in early October, figuring she would have them WAY before Christmas. Nobody EVER contacted her about things being backordered. They weren't in for Christmas. In January, I started bugging Dahlal myself. The following March, Debbie was in town for a showing, and guess what- they were selling all of the things that I still hadn't received- 5 months after the order had been placed! I was pretty upset, but fortunately, Josh (Debbie's son) knew about my problem, and he just let me take the items with me. It was a jewelry set, a sequined cane, and something else that I can't remember. Then my mom got a call over a week later, telling her that the order was in and would be mailed soon- nobody ever made a note ANYWHERE that I had taken the merchandise with me the previous week! Plus, the order had been in for at least a couple of weeks before that call was made. I still order stuff from Dahlal (although not as much) and do the Instructor's Advantage program, but wow- that was a pathetic way to treat my mom. And my mom was (and still is) furious. BTW- her credit card was charged when the order was placed- even though we didn't receive anything for nearly 5 months- and they NEVER contacted her about anything being on backorder- I had to call them myself to find out why it hadn't arrived.
