Camomile - her posts have been removed

This person has been selling pirated DVDs on the Swap Meet. Her posts have been removed. If you have ordered from her you should consider stopping payment or asking for your money back.

darn it, I was worried about that

I started a dispute with paypal, I guess I should escalate it.

But thanks for helping us deal with it.

bad news from paypal:
"Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund. "

time to try the credit card company

I actually spoke to someone at paypal, and they encourage us all to file with them, and then with our bank and credit card companies. I'm actually too early to be able to file with discover yet, I need to wait a few more days. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

Oh shoot! I bought a DVD from camomile. I paid on 10/30 and haven't received anything yet. Think it's too early to file a PayPal claim?

I already filed, so I think you are fine. If you didn't receive anything you have a better chance of getting money back. I got the pirated DVD, and paypal couldn't help much, but they did say file the claim and then go through my credit card. My credit card is trying a charge back.

Also, the more complaints the better. If anyone else got no DVD or pirated copies, be sure to file a claim.

Re: Camomile - her posts have been removed

Well, the good news is that I didn't get a pirated DVD from camomile.
The bad news is that I didn't get ANY DVD from camomile.

I filed a dispute with PayPal, and camomile didn't respond.
I escalated it to a PayPal claim, and camomile didn't respond.

Tonight I got an e-mail from PayPal that says this:
"We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed."

How very frustrating. I'm so disappointed. I can't count how many things I've bought and sold through the Swap Meet boards here, and this is the first time I got burned. Now this person has my money, and I have nothing to show for it.

Let's always make sure to be diligent about sharing legitimately bad experiences!

Re: Camomile - her posts have been removed

ugh
that is worse than what I got
I got a pirated DVD and my credit card company will dispute it
but only if I can prove I mailed it back

paypal won't confirm the return address
and it would cost more than I payed for it to send it back with comfirmation of delivery
and based on your result, I still wouldn't get anything.

Which email did you paypal to? for me it was something like elordik@gmail. I'd have hoped that paypal would have kept an eye on accounts with disputes (since mine has been active since the day I got the DVD), but I guess not.

Yep, elordik@gmail is the e-mail that I sent the payment to. NOT COOL, PAYPAL!

Payment with Credit card and Pay Pal will help the tracking process and also help to clear things up, you have more protection...cash, check and money transfers are not as easily disputed. Good Luck

Hmmm...good luck with Paypal. I did not receive a DVD from a problem Bhuzzer last October 2006 and Paypal said the same. They said they would get the money through some collection agency. If they ever did, I never saw any of it!
