Thread: Greek Salad...

Real meal... or simply an excuse to eat feta without judgement? I admit, as salads go... not even a crispy chicken caesar can lure me away... I freely confess it... all about the feta... I don't mind the kalamata olives, tomatoes & peppers... could do without the romaine... but I'll endure it for the feta...
If you're unsure why I'm posting this... Let me spell it out... I'm hoping to find a bit of enabling... ..g.:

I wanted feta tonight!!!!

We have a local Greek store that sells it, from Greece...I love it!

You're in denial. I make no excuses anymore: I love to put a slice of feta under the broiler. A bit of olive oil, oregano and paprika, sometimes, but it's awesome just plain.

Do you have a recipe for "raspberry vinegrete with poppyseed and olive oil dressing. I must try it!!!

OMG!!! I love Feta and your enabling my passion and disabling my hopes for a diet. Oh well. There are worse things out there. I love the sound of this salad and will try it asap! I bet it would be good with a few mandarin orange slices.

that's what I was gonna say! with a little olive bread, maybe. I love grilled feta (especially since my friend started making it from scratch- yay!)

Oh, I wasn't talking just salad (that recipe I have), but Greek food in general. I've been looking for these recipes!

Ummm... well, Maria, when dieting... it provides me the perfect opportunity to indulge in my favorite food.w.:... without judgement... that said, I was actually looking for another excuse... which the wonderful ladies have so thoughtfully provided..g.: Oooooo... Baked chicken & asparagus... topped w/ feta... the asparagus was of the canned variety tho... so not that good... :(

OH! The baked chicken topped w/ feta was scrumptious tho!!!

Oh, I'm dying here! And BTW, feta has less fat and cholesterol than other cheeses too, so enjoy!
