    Fitness thread: I'm so proud! :oD

    We purchased a threadmill about a month ago. Since then, I've done fast walking (with incline) 40 min. session 6 days a week + dance classes and rehearsals.

    I don't trust my bathroom scale, but my best "fat meter" is a pair of jeans I couldn't zip up anymore for about a year ago ..cr.:.

    I wore the jeans last week for casual Friday. Weeee! ,r:;

    And yesterday, during my 40 min. session of walking, I add a 15 min. of running: I did about 1,25 miles!!! ,r:;

    Also, when I walk, I keep my tummy tucked in and breathe from my upper chest. This morning I've notice that the big pouche on my belly had flatten.

    So I just wanted to brag a bit about it, I'm so happy and want to keep going cause it feel so good.

    Happy Sunday to all! Kiss

    Cheers!
    I can feel your happiness from your post! Thanks for sharing: I felt too lousy with a virus to work out for most of January, and can use some inspiration to get back in the swing of it.

    Yé, Qamar!

    Do you walk/run next to your man while he's on his indoor bike?

    Sometimes! But he's a very early bird, he was training at 6h00 AM today!.w.:
    Not for me thanks!

    I prefer doing it around 9h00 PM, it gives me the opportunity to let some steam out at the end of the day. The treadmill has speakers or I can use it with headphones. It's fun to train with latino music!

    Hugs to all!

    This is so good to hear. We JUST got a treadmill yesterday and I was up at 6 this morning walking and listening to the news. I hope I do the same.

    I think treadmill is one of the easiest exercise "routines" to get into, any time of day. You're awesome, Qamar, for being able to do it in the evening. I'm in pumpkin mode after noon and can't seem to work out any later than 6pm.

    I remember walking/running uphill on our treadmill in the basement 20 minutes every 7am before work while watching Madonna's "Drowned World Tour". I never got sick of it.

    Stephane put an old TV set in the basement. Last night, I walk and run while watching the "Cake Boss", ah hem! Not a good idea But I just had a big glass of water afterward...l;,..l;,

    I love my treadmill! Have it set up right in my living room and watch all my DVR'd TV shows while I'm on it and I'm on it almost everyday as well. One of the best birthday gifts i ever got :)

    i'd love to have a treadmill but it won't fit in the apartment. my parents used to have one at their house but no more, they sold it :'(

    anyway, CONGRATS QAMAR! have you ever thought of doing a race? not sure if you have many of them up there, but it's a really great goal to reach! i know down here at Eglin Airforce Base they have the "My First Tri". it's a really short triathlon geared to those who are new to it. it really was my first tri, and it was so fun! nervous, but fun. i know i'm working on losing the weight again. i used to be 148lbs (my lowest ever) when i was on the cross country team and then after my back surgery i got lazy and went to college and gained...a lot. i mean like 50lbs a lot haha. so i'm on my way! i've lost a little. my reward after i reach my in between point is to get a costume made by Eshta!

    Keep it up! I will too!!

    Well, a triathlon would be a very ambitious goal!..l;,..l;,

    But last August I have done the "Walk for the Cure" I had a wonderfull day, the experience was very empowering. Who knows, maybe this year I might try the "Run for the Cure" challenge. I already have the cute cap with the pink ribbon!
