Fungal infections (not of the female variety)
So what do we know about yeast? Yesterday, I was listening to a program on the People's Pharmacy about CFS and Fibromyalgia. The doctor seems a bit out there, but I've been having trouble with fatigue and widespread pain for a year or two now.
Anyway, one of the things he talked about was Candida. He said that a build up of yeast in your gut and sinuses can cause a lot of symptoms. It mostly stems from sugar/carb intake. Here's his blurb on it: https://secure.endfatigue.com/natura...s/candida.html

So I was talking to one of my students at rehearsal last night and she told me she had the same problems...fatigue, bloating, pain, sinus issues and that she went off of carbs and started a probiotic regimen. She says she feels 100 times better and hasn't had any issues since. She says that she has to stay pretty strict with her diet, but that it's made a world of difference.
I've been considering going off of carbs for awhile now. Mostly because I know I am ADDICTED to sugar. It's my drug of choice. I am also having one heck of time losing weight (I've only lost 6 lbs since Oct!). So I'm wondering if this is the answer I am looking for? ..c::
Thoughts?

You may want to message catandkali here on bhuz. I think she's dealt with the candida thing and may be able to give you some pointers/info.
I don't have anything to add although personally I've noticed that I feel best when I have a diet lower in carbs (but I can't eliminate them or I become sluggish and snippy).

You are more than welcome!
I sincerely hope that you DON'T have candida as the dietary changes are really tough, but it's worth it to feel 10 times better!

I just subscribed to your RSS...I'm trying to get Mom to give up at least SOME of her carbs. Long story, but she has wrecked her health with her lousy diet/lifestyle choices. It's a struggle for sure.
