For those who have it...
My brother got this but is going to Afghanistan in a few days so he sent it to me so I could play with it. So for the Lean Phase, it says to do a certain 7 dvds for each day of the week. On some days it will say, for example, "Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X". Does that mean, do both or do one?
That's my only question! I can't wait to get started on it!

Re: P90X
I want to try it, too!
But it's darn expensive... and I cannot afford it right now.
Let us know if you like it! :)

Re: P90X
It means do both. I recommend doing ab ripper after the main exercise. Ab ripper is only 17 min but it is intense!
I love P90X!

Re: P90X
I do both the same day, though sometimes I do AbRipperX after work as my tum can be upset by it first thing in the am (when I workout).

i had to cut my first workout short, have a meeting at 4, but WOW! i'm shaking! did the Core Synergistics. managed to do 35 minutes and, even without weights, i'm shivering and sweating! I LOVE IT!

Awesome huh?! Just wait till you do plyometrics... plyo killed me! I was sore for a week after plyo.

Re: P90X
Today I'm doing plyo too. Will post back, the 15 minute ab workout gave me a nice core muscle ache 24 hours after the dvd.

Another P90X fan here. I've done the 90 days twice, and am getting ready to start a hybrid workout with P90x and Insanity!

Re: P90X
Athansore, how does p90x work out for you the second time? And do you follow the program, or adjust it to fit in dance class?
I'm exploring the different workouts to see what works for me.
Sofar:
abs: love this workout, oriented on core strength, easy and fun and only 16 minutes
arms and back: I don't have a pull up bar and I really need it to do this one
Plyometrics: love this one for cardio and leg strength, but my house isn't build to withstand this workout (1920's house with wooden floors, we live above a store). My BF came up and asked me to stop, he was afraid the windows might fall out of their frames!
I want to try Yoga tomorrow. Right now I'm not ready to start the program at the intensity that it deserves, but I like adding the workouts to my weekly work-out schedule for extra cardio/strength training.

Re: P90X
You don't need a pullup bar. I went to walmart and got a gold's gym set of bands set that hooks on any door in the house. You can use it to do the same type of workouts that a pullup bar would give you (watch the guy w/ the bands in the videos to see how to do it properly).

Re: P90X
I checked out the bands, but you need a good door to keep them put. Unfortunately the door of my workout room is probably not save to use due to the gap at the side.
The first sport store the I went to didn't have home equipment, I'll have to try another one this weekend to see if they can help me with the pull up bar.

Re: P90X
LOVE P90.
I lost 20 pounds and 10 inches in 7 months.
JUST started round three today with some of Tony's one on one workouts, called "Upper Body Massacre." Its intense.
Great program, but you have to follow it to a T. :)
I love the recovery drink the most. :)

Re: P90X
I think kenpo is my favorite! It never feels like I'm working that hard, but by the end of it, I'm absolutely dripping with sweat!

Re: P90X
Yasmin, I hate yogax! My fave is kenpo. Oh, and syergistics? You don't even want to know how many cuss words I used. Dreya Roll...snort! After the baby and the broken leg it aint in the cards!
But I do love it. I haven't actually made it through the abripper yet as it literally feels like it will rip my c-section scar open. ah...the joys. :)
You look lovely btw :)

Re: P90X
i did the Plyo this weekend and I really didn't like it :(
I'm sure it would be fun if I had better shoes, but the only thing I could think of was my arches hurting like crazy!!

Re: P90X
You all are such an inspiration!
You know how so many fitness experts say that 99% of women who do resistance training don't have to worry about bulking up and looking manly?
Well I'm the other 1%. Strong like bull!! I do bellydance to keep myself fit and yet still have soft/womanly shape, but I wish I could compliment it with an intense program like all of you.

Re: P90X
So I got back on the P90X wagon after a few months of inactivity. It's been two weeks and I've lost 2 whole inches in my waist already!!! I'm not even following the eating plan (though I am trying to eat more protein and veg and fewer carbs... it's still fairly close to my normal diet and portions). My energy is way up too, and I'm feeling very happy despite my current no money/no job situation.

Re: P90X
I'm resurrecting this old thread! I got a set of DVD's from another dancer and the Mr and I are putting hardwood floors down in my new lounge/dance/workout room. So by next week, I'll have a place to do these workouts!
Who's still on the program? How's it working out for you? Advice?
My goals are: Lose minimum 3 inches off my waist. Tighten/Tone arms. Flatten out the stubborn ab area. Get rid of the dreaded 'bra bulge' eeww.
I turn 35 for the 7th time on Monday and refuse to ride the downward slide to flabtown.

I'm bumping this thread up. After trying to start 3x now (3x a charm), I'm finally on day 4. I would like to use this thread as a support group for those of us that are going through the program (or for those that have done the program and can give tips).
