    Homemade yogurt recipes?

Hi, I have a 5-cup yogurt maker, and want to get into making my own. Anybody have good recipes for flavored yogurt? Finding plain recipes is pretty easy, but I really like vanilla and fruit flavors and chocolate...

    Thanks

I just mix my finished yogurt with the mango smoothie/juice from Trader Joes. Very simple and yummy.

I mix mine with homemade jams & jellies. vanilla & stevia is good too.

tho recently I've let hubby take over & it usually has curry powder & garlic & stuff instead...

have you tried laban matbookh? its basically like a cooked yougurt soup or sauce. everyone loves it--my kids go crazy for it and call it "hot" laban :) basically you pass the yogurt with close to equal parts chicken stock through a sieve with some kind of stabalizer. i use an egg yolk and some flour (also passed through the sieve) like my mother in law, my sis in laws use cornstarch with no egg, my other sil uses flour with no egg. then you stir in the same direction until it boils--that's the important part. if you stop stirring, it can curdle. its great served with maqlooba which is traditional served every friday, but is also good with plain rice and roasted or grilled chicken. in jordan they make a special dish with it called mansaf, but here its served mostly how i described. you can also use it as a sauce for stuffed zukhini, which i think is absolutely delicious as well. google it. its not hard at all.
