Thread: back pain--anyone else used The Stick?

okay, I recently bought one of these on the recommendation of some of my dog show friends who use them on their dogs, their horses, and themselves. I got the medium size stick and have been using it on my lower back, glutes, hips, IT band, calves, hamstrings, and quads. Less knee pain, the chronic nightime hip pain is gone. After a weekend standing, walking and running on concrete at a dogshow my lower back and feet felt fine. Before the stick I would have paid for it for days afterwards. Also got one of their foot rollers. The real test comes next week at 5 days of Oasis Dance Camp. Will my feet and knees survive.

Haven't used one, but so glad it's working for you! And wish I could be at camp with you...

I have one and use it on my back. It gets spots I can't reach and seems to work out my stress lumps but my son took it to college with him. I liked it a lot.

I've never heard of this before. I normally use a little massage ball in a similar way, but this looks way easier to get to all the places on my back. I'll try it out. Thanks!

Wish you could be at camp too. Cassandra is teaching a choreo from her recent show with Nesma--The Dark Nightengale. Presumably it will be to a piece of Abdel Halim Hafez music.

I am using the stick every night just before bedtime and my muscles are so relaxed and warm that I just fall right to sleep. A real blessing.

Not the same product but something similar: I got a theracane and it is awesome!! I can finally massage my own back!

I've never seen the theracane. It really is like a cane, isn't it? The stick is flexible and has small rollers so you can work on a larger area or smaller one. I have the medium size stick that will fit in my suitcase. I want to get one of the travel size ones to go in my dance bag.
