Hello! I had a question about the intensive that karen barbee is having in feburary of 2012. In her list of requirements, she says that you have to have at least 3 years of continuous belly dance experience and study, does that mean CLASSES WITH AN INSTRUCTOR straight thru the 3 years? or could instructors and instructional dvd's count also?

Also, she says you could have 1 year of belly dance experience, with a strong classical background. I took jazz for 1 year, have taken latin classes for about 2 years, and danceD mostly jazz in a dance team when i was in elementery school. Does any of this count?

I took 2 years with a belly dance teacher, learning to play zills and performing in ren-faires, then stopped in 2006, now im back in 2011 september planning on staying with this dance. in between those years i used instructional dvd's. Would this count for continuous study? Thanks so much in advance, and for all that you all do here at BHUZ!!!

Just wanted to tell you that I totally love the video you presently have on your page "The Golden Age of Egyptian Movies". I even recognize the song too - it's Aziza by Hossam Ramzy right? It's in my Ipod playlist of workout tunes for the gym! Now if only I could understand what the dancer at the beginning is saying. Whatever it is, it sounds fun. :-)
