Teacher, Choreographer, Coach, Performer, Organiser, Wonder Woman


Artemisia is an international belly dance performer and teacher, based in Belgium where she runs dance school (e) motion, offering belly dance classes to hundreds of students of all levels.

Having started her dance career early in life at local dance schools, she went on to study with international Master Teachers and continues to travel and search for new (and old) inspirations.

Artemisia's performances are full of joy and fun, passion and soul, and audiences especially appreciate her magic with the silk veil and her sense of humour.

She has taught successful workshops at belly dance festivals worldwide such as The International Bellydance Congress UK, Raqs Congress Belgium, Leyla Jouvana's Festival Germany, Celebrating Dance UK, JOY Festival UK, the Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive USA, etc.
Dancing has brought her from Iceland to South-Africa, and has offered her the opportunity to meet new people and make friends all over the world.

Workshop participants have described her as an enthusiastic, warm and encouraging teacher, who loves to share her passion and knowledge, combining technical expertise with a great sense of introducing students to communication and creativity in dance.

She is lead teacher and director of dance school (e)motion in Belgium, and also leads two succesfull troupes, her student troupe the A-Team and a professional troupe (belgium's first!) Raks Pro. Every year she puts her energies into a smashing summer school/boot camp in Belgium, RAKS, together with co-conspirators Khalida, Razia and Queenie.
