you can pm me instead of posting here if you like..
but just wondering, as I'm planning on fall production already..what kinds of silk veils would you like to see available ? I'll still have rectangles and half circles available in both sizes..but what about colors?
Will continue doing the ombres of course
Solids? Anyone want solids? In all honesty I would be paying someone else to make solids for me . In the past I try to offer the really popular solid colors: red, dark pink, silver, purple, blue, turquoise, green, light green, peach..any others you would like to see?
And lately I've been digressing and making a variety of marbled dyes, I make them densely colored so they don't have a wild vivid design, they are more like two or three similar colors that are deeply blended so that the veil doesn't compete with the costume. I tend to sell more of these to the egyptian style dancers and dancers who like the lycra mono-tone costumes. For an overall uniform look.
This one is an example of densely blended red and hints of orange
What say the masses??
And I should be ordering some white silk circle skirts..once again doing ombres and maybe some marbles...anyone prefer solid colors? What would you like to see? make a wish list (or pm me if you want to keep it private)
Thanks![]()

Would love something in blues and tourquoise -- either an ombre or a mottled.

I NEED one with lots of hot pink in it, and some purple. Something like your Bird of Paradise would be great! OK, not really fall colors, I know...

I really like the densely marbled designs, I think they are an elegant way of adding more color without having it be quite so loud (not that loud is bad on other people, it's just not right on me). Plus the number one benefit of marbled designs: they hide the wrinkles better!!! ..g.:

Okay, not a veil or skirt, but the biggest thing on my wish list is a knee to mid-calf length summer dress (tank or spaghetti strap style). I'd really love something flowy and dreamy. Ahhhhhh......
I love both ombres and marbled effects. As for colors... I'm in love with the Bint Mint, Turqouise Isis, Sirena, and Heaven Sent color combos.

Thanks dancers :) Lauren they don't have to be autumn colors..in Hawaii it's almost summer so i always do brights :) Am glad the reception is good towards the marbles. I love doing ombres but sometimes need a break.
What about marbled half circles? I haven't done many of those except for instructors/wholesale orders who want to teach with them.
great point that the marbled hide wrinkles :)
Tank dress..with any luck I'm getting a delivery of plain white silk dresses to dye up..but they are more basic chemise style dresses. I'd loooove to add a short but flowy babydoll style silk dress to the wardrobe..let me get these wrap skirts up and running I'll see what the pattern maker can do about it :) If it's silk I'll dye it
something like these would be fun

Oh Jess honey!! You know I am still waiting for my hot pink/white ombre with the little painted daisies!! I know you have to wait till the baby comes! Urgh! ;-)
I also really enjoy the "Volacnic" and "Merkaba" styles since I can use them with many costumes!
Did you ever get the Burgandy color figured out?!

You don't consider doing the handpainted ones again?
Like http://www.olafheeg.de/SHARI/galerie...s/schleie3.jpg or the handpainted dreamcatchers with sharp bands?
I love mine and everyone is asking me where I got them from.

I want a Desert Sand (the sort of tangerine-y color), and maybe an ice blue ombre.

..cr.: I just opened my mouth -- my post, excuse me -- to ask if you would be doing leopard half circs -- and saw the tiny little disclaimer at the bottom of the very last post -- "ps I don't do the leopards." Sniff. Sniff, sniff, sniff. (now sobbbing....) Tanya SF..cr.: ..cr.:

1. Turquoise (main), hot pink, navy blue (tiny bits)
2. Baby pink and brown.
I'd like to see more of a butterfly painting effect, so that when you open up the veil, it's like a butterfly opening it's wings.

well i was a bad cookie today and didn't do any veils at all...here's a pic of the dress ..i still need to measure them (but they fit a 36 inch tummy hehehe)
promise to return to veils shortly..
06-04-2007 04:52 PM #19Actually, I think that all of your designs are beautiful. I can't even think of a color. Something I did notice is you have "oops" designs that are just as unique. Can't wait to see the summer brights!

I just ordered the "Temptations" silk dress!!! OMG! I can't wait to get it! At least I'll have a few months to wear it before I have to pack it away when I move to Maine. Although, I have a feeling that dress may not ever get packed away. I might just have to wear it to help "heat up" those cold Maine winters!! ..g.:
Oooo, I also bought that Bint Mint ruana poncho to go with it!! It's been a beautiful shopping day and it's not even 7am! I'll take some pics when they get here.Last edited by gwyncara; 06-07-2007 at 05:44 AM. Reason: adding another purchase

I have definitely been keeping my eye on your ebay site for more silk circle skirts, and the more solid colors (or even just more subtle mixtures) would be better for me - like you said, you don't want it to compete with the bedlah.
06-11-2007 06:42 AM #25I'd like marbled reds/oranges/yellows. i saw a gorgeous orange/yellow silk veil at a bazar but stupidly resisted the buy.
